Who uses Grade by Grace

Grade by Grace is for parents and guardians who homeschool. Only adults create accounts and sign in. Children do not have accounts or sign in; a parent enters their records.

What we keep

• Your email address, to sign you in with a one-time code.
• Your name and state, if you enter them. Your state decides which homeschool rules we show.
• For each child you add: a first name or nickname that you choose, a colour label, their grade, and the records you enter: time spent on each subject, scores for homework, quizzes and tests, lessons ticked off, notes, and each finished year's final grade and your decision to move up or repeat.
• When you last used the site, so we can tell active accounts from old ones.

We do not ask for children's last names, birth dates, photos, addresses or school details, and you should not put them in notes.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or rent your information, or share it for advertising.
• We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookie is the one Cloudflare Access sets to keep you signed in. A running lesson timer is kept in your own browser until you stop it.
• We don't show your records to anyone else.

Who helps us run the site

The site runs on Cloudflare, which hosts the pages, stores the records in its database, and sends and checks the sign-in codes. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your browser's request for them.

Your choices

• Download all your records at any time from Settings.
• Remove a child and all their records from Settings.
• Delete your account and every record from Settings. Deletion is permanent: if you sign in again with the same email, you start a new, empty account.

How long we keep records

We keep your records while your account is open. When you remove a child or delete your account, those records are deleted from the live database at once. Copies in Cloudflare's database recovery history and in its request logs expire on their own, within 30 days.

Keeping records safe

Every request is checked against your sign-in, and every record is tied to your account so no other family can see it. Connections are encrypted.
